Then there is no way around it folks – it is time to GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!
You may be used to a certain formula or routine with your exercise programs. I can’t tell you how many times over the years that I have heard a potential client say that they MUST run or that they simply CANNOT do mornings – and when given the challenge to change, they have risen up to achieve fabulous results.
I’m forever challenging myself to get out of my comfort zone. Being a professional musician in my former life, I was determined to record my own CD before age 33 – check. When I moved to New Zealand, I noticed how women here were really into triathlons, so I challenged myself to do one before I turned 40 – check. At aged 44, once my youngest headed off to uni, I challenged myself to go back to school with kids even younger than my own, to retrain to be a personal trainer. I graduated top of my class and 18 kg lighter than when I started – check. Now at 50, I’m stepping out again. I’ve published one book this year, (you’ll hear about that one soon!) and am in the midst of writing the next two. I’ve started studying again (Nutrition), have begun contracting to one of NZ’s most respected nutritionists, Tarren McCall, and have stepped out into the great unknown by launching my new online training / nutrition / coaching program – RESET YOUR BODY.
Am I scared??? You bet I am!! But I’m excited as I KNOW that I have created something that will HELP others achieve their personal goals! I’m not sharing all of this to toot my own horn though, but to encourage you to GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE TOO!!
None of those things listed above were easy. None were a walk in the park. NO WAY! All of them took time, sweat and a lot of nerves! And now it is YOUR turn! Time for you to get out of whatever comfort zone is holding you back in your health, fitness, work, creativity or life in general!
Take a deep breath and jump!!
It’s YOUR time now – go for it!
