Making Midlife Kuel!
“Midlife is about surrendering things that no longer matter, not because our lives are in decline, but because they’re on an incline” – Marianne Williamson
In this episode of the Rocking Midlife® Podcast, I’m joined by a fabulous lady – Jacqueline, (Jack) Perez. Jack champions change, normalising ageing for women through curated content and women-driven brands. She is the founder of Kuel Life, a collective of over 55 Kuel Category Thought Leaders and 40 women-driven brands. Kuel Life offers women an opportunity to ‘Share, Learn, Shop, and Play with Our Second Act Sisters!’
Having earned an MBA from the University of Chicago, Jack Perez carries a hard-nosed business understanding to the entrepreneur world, and her passions include spending time with her son, and traveling to exotic, off-the-beaten-path places such as Cuba, Jordan, Zambia, Bolivia, and Zanzibar. An endorphin junkie, Jack is an avid jump roper, Peloton-fanatic, and a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
During our interview, Jack shares her story about having struggled to make sense of what was happening to her when she hit menopause. She experienced much of the confusion and questions that many of us experience, including:
Why are my joints aching?
Why am I gaining weight?
Why am I feeling anxious?
Jack set out to find experts who could help her understand and address what she was experiencing, and in doing so, saw a need for a “one stop shop” for information on all things midlife. To provide this information for other women struggling like herself, she founded Kuel Life – a collective of nearly 60 thought leaders from around the world, (including yours truly!) covering virtually every aspect of menopause and midlife.

Today, Kuel Life has grown to be an amazing online resource chock full of helpful articles for women around the world who are looking for answers to questions about their own midlife journeys. Think of it as your personal midlife library – and it’s free!
Ultimately, Jack’s mission is to “normalise ageing” – a mission I passionately endorse. When we realise that our generation of midlife women are ground breakers in longevity, independence, entrepreneurship and more, we realise how privileged we are to have the opportunity to throw off the constraints and “should dos” of our earlier years, and embrace our authentic selves in our 40s, 50, 60s and beyond.
