Do you sometimes feel that the thing holding you back the most from achieving your dream and goals….. Is you? I know that feeling so well. You have so many dreams and ideas, but trying to work out what you need to do and how to fit it all in around your work and family life becomes so overwhelming, that you end up paralysed and find yourself eating packets of biscuits, bingeing on Netflix and basically doing everything and anything………. other than that thing that deep down, you really want to do. When I wrote my books, 21 Hacks to ROCK your Life, the original and the Teen edition – I wrote them for me as much as for anyone else. Over the years, I’ve managed to break out of my own patterns of fear-induced procrastination and achieve the goals that I have set myself: winning scholarships at age 11 that radically changed the trajectory of my life; performing and speaking on platforms around the globe; recording my own album; publishing my own books; changing my career not once but twice at midlife and so many more. And you know what? I literally had to FIGHT myself each time! I had to learn to turn off those negative voices which told me that I wasn’t good enough, I wasn’t talented enough, I wasn’t thin enough, I wasn’t pretty enough……….and you know something? Those voices still like to pop up from time to time! However you don’t make it to your mid-fifties without learning a few tricks, and these tried and true tricks that worked for me, helping me achieve my goals, are the 21 hacks that I write about in my books. And I know they can help you too. If nothing else, COVID has shown us that life is unpredictable and that tomorrow isn’t necessarily promised.
