It is January 1st. The Christmas lights have come and gone, the New Year’s fireworks are over and done with and the recycling bin is full of empty bottles, wrapping paper and chocolate boxes.
If you are like me, you are now sitting with bleary eyes, having stayed up well past your usual bedtime, and are pondering the gift before you of another New Year in which to make your dreams come to fruition.
I have already begun my day in the manner that I established some time ago and which I intend to continue this year – by journalling my thoughts, intents and desires for the year, the month and the days ahead. As I am kicking off my 21 Days to Sort your Shiz coaching group tomorrow, I am even more aware that in order to coach these ladies to take their dreams seriously and put ACTION to them – I myself must lead the way by doing likewise.
In reflection, I have achieved many of the things that I had determined to over the last year – and in all honesty, there are also many that I didn’t. However, I know that I am called to SO much MORE and this constant dissatisfaction with where I am at along with any refusal to “act my age and settle” is what propels me forward – always dreaming, always learning and always creating.
So how about you girl? I KNOW that I am not alone in thinking and feeling that I am destined do to more. It’s not arrogance, but rather a healthy acknowledgment that if I fulfil the calling on my life, then others around me will be impacted both by the work that I do and by the example that I set. I can’t afford NOT to do the work I am called to – and neither can you!
“But what IS my calling Cat?” I often have folks ask me. When I found this quote this morning, I was so excited as it sums up exactly what I feel is the answer to this question:
The things you are passionate about are not random, they are your calling.

What is in your hand?
What do you LOVE to do?
What moves your soul so much that you want to share it with the world?
I truly believe that deep down, you KNOW what you are passionate about and YOU, my friend, need to determine that this is THE year when you are finally brave enough to dust that passion off, hone it and share it.
It is YOUR time now.
