5 FREE Resources to Plan your Best Year!
Life isn’t about finding yourself.
Life is about creating yourself.
– George Bernard Shaw
We are already into the second week of the New Year.
Can you believe that?
It feels like only yesterday that we were talking about whether it was too early to put up the Christmas tree! The tree is well and truly packed away now, the Christmas chocolate stash nearly gone, and my inbox is overflowing with marketers advertising their latest “New Year, new you” product. The jury is still out if 2022 is going to be the Best Year or another dud like the previous ones.
I’ve spent much of January in planning mode – made all the more interesting given that my husband and I spontaneously decided to put our home on the market just 10 days before Christmas.
As you do.
Okay, so possibly not the best timing, but following a random drive to see a home for sale – an outing that we took simply to get out of the house given that we had just finished 104 days of lockdown that week. As we walked through however, my husband and I both knew immediately that this was the house for our next season!
Hence an offer was made and accepted, our home is now on the market, and life is about to get incredibly busy once the lawyers are back from their summer holidays and all of the paperwork goes through.
In the meantime though, I’ve been busy planning out my next year and more specifically, my next 3 months. Being a scanner personality, I tend to have lots of projects on the go, but with that comes that challenge of actually completing things! (If you are not familiar with scanners, you can read more HERE.)
I’m excited though, as my list of projects for 2022 will allow me to be both creative and diverse. There will be a few e-comm platforms in action, more publishing of books, journals and more, as well as videos, podcast interviews, online events and blog posts to encourage, inform and challenge you to get out and create your purposeful life and legacy too!
I know that a few people are quite nervous about setting goals for 2022, and trust me, I fully get it! Following the way 2020 and 2021 panned out, there’s good reason to be tentative about setting goals, but my faith and optimism has kicked in and I want to encourage you to join me in daring to dream and plan for a great year ahead.
To help you plan, I’ve compiled a list of some of my resources that you can read or watch right away to help boost your mojo. What’s more, they are all FREE, so read on for my list and let me know in the comments what you are hoping and planning for this year so I can cheer you on!

Hi Cat, I enjoyed your videos and blog post! “What’s in your hand” resonated with me. I’ve had many jobs and roles in the past decade, and I’d forgotten to see that they all had common needs. So I started to think about the skills I used in all of them and what I enjoyed most about them. xo Nipa
I’m glad that you enjoyed them and love your “ah-ha!” It’s so easy to overlook the talents and skills that we use every day, and get caught up thinking that we need to completely retrain to make a difference in the world!
Great resources! I go through my core values at the end of every year to see if I’m aligned or if any have changed in importance.
Thanks for reading Shelley and yes, that is such a powerful thing to do. I really believe that the much of the discontent we experience in life – particularly in the workplace – can be attributed to us being out of alignment with our core values.
