Food for thought here, Kat. I still don’t know what I want to do when I grow up, lol. And I’m not even sure what I want to be, let alone reinvent myself. Hmmm… That’s my ‘be real’ right now. Congratulations on your book – how fabulous!

I totally hear you Gwen as I have been in that place myself for many years. If you get a chance, check out my blog post and video from last week where I talk a bit more about the concept of purpose which is related. Thanks so much for the congrats – it’s all a bit scary when you present your baby to the world lol!

I enjoyed watching the video, and can relate about something big that happened when I turned 4-0. I was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and really had to think how I wanted my life to be. For me, being real was the sadness over not being able to do some of the things I did before , however, i also decided I wasn’t going to spend my life in bed.
I do think there is more insight, presently, and learning what I want to do with the rest of my life.
    Congratulations on your book!

      Hi there Jessica,

Thank you for sharing your story. I can imagine that having a diagnosis like that would have really thrown you for a while, I love that you didn’t let it stop you from still living life. I actually have a podcast episode coming out soon where I talk about my own journey of having to manage chronic pain while determining to live a purposeful life regardless. Big hugs to you and here’s to both of us rocking midlife! x

Thanks Cat – a timely reminder…. I really don’t think that I thought 40 years ahead when I was 17!! Oh well…. I certanily would not have pictured myself in the current life situation that I am in. No right or wrong as it is what it is! I share with my children now yound adults about things that they might consider for their own futures (that no one shared with me when I was their age). I feel blessed to have my health and also to be rocking my midlife! Congrats with the book, I look forward to getting a hard copy xxx
